Plant-for-the-Planet

This project plants more than 20 different native tree species on its own planting site on the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico. The tropical climate offers ideal growing conditions and trees will bind CO2 more quickly by growing faster than in temperate regions.

"Stop talking. Start planting." The projects goal is to plant one trillion trees in order to win more time in our battle against the climate crisis. For every planted tree, 1 € also goes into funding the Plant-for-the-Planet Children Academies which empower children to become ambassadors for climate justice.

Where are the trees planted?

The trees are planted on the project’s own land on the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico. The trees will be planted during the rainy season between July and December. Plant-for-the-Planet will take care of the trees for up to three years after planting.
